Welcome to my blog!
I hope you check back often to join me on my journey as Mrs. Washington International, 2010. I feel very honored to hold this title this year and hope to reach out to as many people as I can, especially regarding my platform. My platform is consists of two very imortant aspects of the heart. The first aspect is that I am a very passionate supporter of the American Heart Associaiton's, "Go Red for Women" movement and living a heart healthy life. Secondly, I am also passionate about convincing women of all ages that they do not have to look like supermodels to be considered beautiful. That also has to come from the heart. A very wise man said, "There is none more beautiful, more inspiring than a woman who knows who she is, who walks in virtue with an understanding of why she should do so." Gordon B. Hinckley. "True beauty is virtuous beauty. It is felt with the heart, not seen with the eyes." Jodi Marie Robinson. So my goal and mission is to Educate, Advocate and Motivate women everywhere to take the steps to becoming heart healthy. Then also, to encourage them to find that "rare and priceless love of one's inner self. Let each of us open our eyes to discover within ourselves the beauty of virtue, and teach our children-our future-that therein lies true happiness." I'm looking forward to a great year!
